canoeing and kayaking
The Somme has plenty of possibilities for canoeing and kayaking:
- exploring the river Somme, the Avre, the ‘hortillonnages’ of Abbeville or the Authie
- kayak polo for beginners, for families or friends
- white-water rafting at Picquigny, the only spot for rafting in northern France
- sea-going kayaks or Polynesian pirogues on the famous ‘bay of seals’.
